Seeing Iggy & the Stooges this Wednesday @ The Electric Factory in Philly. Anyone heard (of) Wolfmother? A fab sort-of-Led Zepplin-styled trio that apparently puts on a great show. Seeing them on the 25th @ DC's famous 9:30 Club. Maybe Junior Brown @ Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis in June. The Asylum street Spankers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Southern Culture On The Skids---all great bands to see as well. Anyone shelled/shelling out the bucks for Bonnarroo? The lineup seems worth it. Anyone going to P&F tonight or tomrrow in NY? Just lookin' to see who we're all into & willing to part w/hard earned $$$$ to see.

Wolfmother is an outstanding power trio out of Australia that do indeed put on one hell of a live show. Energy and Punch, don't think you'll be dissapointed. Kind of a Cream meets AC/DC meets Led Zeppelin kind of thing.
On a related note, just saw that the Allman Bros. have been announced for this years Newport Folk Festival August 4. Oh, I guess I'll be legally correct and use the commercialize sponsor name: Dunkin'Donuts Newport Folk Festival. Hmmmm, Allman Bros and Donuts, maybe not a bad idea after all....

JamminJerome's "I'm on a really tight budget" concert schedule:

4/20: maaaaybe Ekoostik Hookah in Pittsburgh (if i can talk my girlfriend into it)
5/9: Old School Freight Train at Messiah College (for free about 100 yards from where I live!)
as many free shows as i can get to this summer

also saving my $ for summer shows...maybe ratdog and allmans in Camden, but probably one or the other at some point.

also saving $ for SCI if they come near me

May 9: Derek Trucks Band with Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit
May 23: Dark Star Orchestra
June 20: Doobie Brothers with Little Feat (Going mainly for Little Feat)
July 28: Possibly going to see Chicago

I still haven't decided if I'm going to All Good 2007. There's a great lineup, but I still haven't been able to find anyone that wants to go, and I'm not sure if I want to go by myself.

Allgood does look mighty fine! I'm probably only going if I decide to volunteer, because my budget is kinda tight, and I'm not a huge fan of camping out at large festivals.
